Karnataka SSLC 2027 Time Table

If you are in Class 10 this year, the most useful number right now is 20. Counting from Monday, 2 November 2026, you have exactly 20 weeks before the first SSLC paper on 22 March 2027. That is enough time to finish the syllabus, revise it twice and practise full papers, as long as you start with a plan.

This article gives you the Karnataka SSLC 2027 Time Table official-board dates released so far, the marks pattern, and a week-by-week plan you can follow.

What is new for 2027: two exams, and lower pass marks

Exam 2. The board has scheduled a second exam in May 2027 for students who want to improve their result or who did not pass in Exam 1. Treat it as a safety net, not a plan. Prepare to clear everything in March.

Pass marks. Karnataka revised the minimum passing criteria from the 2026 exams onwards. As reported, a student must score at least 206 out of 625 marks (33%) in internal assessment and the written exam combined, including at least 30% in each subject. The 2027 notification should be checked on the board website because rules can be amended.

Marks pattern. The SSLC total is 625 marks. Most subjects carry 80 marks for the written exam and 20 for internal assessment. Reports differ on the exact split for the first language, so confirm it from the official circular or your school.

Do not aim at the pass mark. Use it only to know your safety line, then plan for a high score.

Your 20-week SSLC study plan : Start date: Monday, 2 November 2026.

Phase 1: Learn the syllabus (Weeks 1 to 8: 2 Nov to 27 Dec)
  • Finish one full pass of every subject, chapter by chapter, alongside school teaching.

  • Daily: 1 hour each for Maths and Science, and 45 minutes for Social Science. Add language practice on alternate days.

  • At the end of each chapter, write 5 questions of your own and answer them.

  • Weekend: solve textbook exercises you skipped.

Phase 2: First revision (Weeks 9 to 14: 28 Dec to 7 Feb)
  • Revise each subject using short notes, formula sheets, diagrams and maps.

  • Take one chapter-wise test every week per subject.

  • Keep an error notebook: write every mistake and the correct method.

Phase 3: Model papers (Weeks 15 to 18: 8 Feb to 7 Mar)
  • Solve one full paper every alternate day in exam conditions (the same time of day, 3 hours 15 minutes for the main papers).

  • Use official model question papers and previous-year papers.

  • Check your answers against the marking scheme and note which answers lost marks.

Phase 4: Final revision (Weeks 19 to 20: 8 to 21 Mar)
  • Revise the error notebook, formulas, definitions and diagrams.

  • Prepare in exam order: Science, then Mathematics, then Social Science.

  • Sleep well, practise your hall-ticket checklist and avoid learning brand-new topics.

This plan is a general study framework, not an official board instruction. Adjust the hours to your school timetable.

Subject-wise quick tips
  • Mathematics: Practise daily. Learn formulas and keep them in a single sheet. Do the textbook problems first, then extra ones.

  • Science: Diagrams, definitions, reactions and numericals carry easy marks. Draw each diagram three times.

  • Social Science: Use timelines and map-pointing practice. Write answers in points.

  • Languages: Practise letters, essays and grammar. Read your answers aloud, and keep your handwriting neat.
